U.S. District Court Judge rules Section 3 of DOMA Unconstitutional

Today, U.S. District Court Judge Joseph L. Tauro ruled that section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional!

Back in March, I mentioned that Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) brought a case against Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), and no one expected the decision to come this quickly.

While this is an exciting decision in our favor, it is unclear how this affects the fight for full federal marriage equality. Expect more soon on the impacts of this decision...
