We won't- until we all can.

NMB Joins the Fight for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act

This past Tuesday, July 27, NMB Executive Team members Laura Wadden, Kenzie Seal and Emily Livermore rallied in favor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). Passing ENDA would protect lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workers from workplace discrimination.

Discrimination against any member of the gay community hurts us all, so NMB is committed to standing with those pushing to get ENDA passed. Read more here about how National Marriage Boycott supports efforts to pass ENDA.

The rally was held in front of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's office in San Francisco, CA, and targeted her because she has repeatedly broken promises to schedule a vote on ENDA. This push is important right now because activists know that we won't have the votes again until at least five years from now.

The rally coincided with an action in Washington D.C., which included eight activists performing civil disobedience in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol, and was organized by a coalition of groups, including One Struggle One Fight, GetEqual, the Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, SF Pride at Work and the Transgender Law Center.
