Campus Progress National Conference
This free, youth-focused conference in Washington, D.C. promotes
progressive solutions to key political and social issues. The first
day involves a series of panels, performances, and speakers focused
on activist and leadership training. The second day involves a trip
to Capitol Hill where participants engage in lobbying with
congressional offices.
Lead With Pride is a week-long summit for college aged LGBTQ and
ally leaders. Participants have the opportunity to learn valuable
campus organizing skills, coalition building and strategies for
creating change at colleges and universities.
Do Something- Social Action Boot Camp
The free Do Something Boot Camps bring together a diverse group
of young community leaders, activists and social entrepreneurs for
a day of networking and training dedicated to giving each attendee
the tools to grow and sustain their community action ideas,
projects and organizations.
The Task Force Power Summits are three-day trainings focused on
campaign-building skills and strategies. They involve two "tracks"-
the field track, which focuses on developing leadership skills, and
the fundraising track.
Task Force- Creating Change Conference
The Creating Change Conference is a national conference on LGBTQ
equality. It involves over 200 workshops on leadership and action
trainings, caucuses, and film screenings.
Courage Campaign- Camp Courage
Camp Courage is a free two-day training designed to teach the
principles and skills of community organizing to activists working
to restore marriage equality to California. It teaches empowerment,
team building, leadership development, and grassroots organizing
skills.
Camp Wellstone- Campus Camp Wellstone
Campus Camp Wellstone is a youth-focused, non-partisan training
program that teaches skills of grassroots organizing strategy,
campaign building, and leadership development.
Activist Camp is a youth-focused, three-day training program
that features intensive community building, skill-building,
political education and leadership training for current and
potential GSA members.
GSA Network- Queer Youth Advocacy Day
This is a student-led day of action in Sacramento that involves
calling on lawmakers to make California schools safer for LGBTQ and
straight ally students. The training covers topics that include
strategic organizing, fundraising, and the legal rights of students
and GSAs.
Equality Across America- Building Bridges
The Building Bridges program involves training and education on
planning protests, community organizing, civil disobedience, and
direct action.
COLAGE provides community building and youth empowerment programs for youth who have one or more lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender parent(s).
