The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) is a proposed bill in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. Currently, it is legal for employers to discriminate against their employees on the basis of sexual orientation in 29 states, and on the basis of gender identity in 38 states. If passed, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act would prohibit discrimination against LGBTQ people in the workplace.

Right now, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act has 202 cosponsors in the House of Representatives. In order to ensure that this bill passes in the House, ENDA will need 218 cosponsors. In the Senate, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act has 45 cosponsors, and needs 60 in order to pass.

Your members of Congress work for you. Find your members of Congress using the links below and ask them to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act by calling or writing a letter.
